Curriculum Night will provide CANS parents and guardians the chance to hear directly from Principal Zoller and CANS’s teachers regarding their plans and goals for the year. While our students are at the heart of everything we do, this particular event is geared towards adults. If you are without childcare, CANS PTO is providing two free options for supervision of school-age children during the event. Please provide dinner for your children prior to drop-off. We are unable to serve meals or snacks to students during this event.
Option 1: Clifton Recreation Center (located directly behind the school at 320 McAlpin Avenue)
-Staffed by CRC employees
-CRC childcare available from 5:45 - 8:00. Children must be picked up by 8pm.
-Advance sign-up required. 30 spots available for students grades K and up only with the possibility to add spots if demand is high.
-Must provide two off-site emergency contacts in addition to contact information for parents/guardians/caregivers who will be in attendance at Curriculum Night.
Option 2: CANS Playground
-Staffed by childcare providers, vetted by CANS parents, ranging from high schoolers to college students and beyond.
-CANS playground childcare available from 5:45 - 8:00. Children must be picked up by 8pm.
-Advance sign-up highly encouraged to streamline the check-in process. Spots available for students grades PreK and up only.
-Must provide two off-site emergency contacts in addition to contact information for parents/guardians/caregivers who will be in attendance at Curriculum Night.
-Restrooms/water fountains available on the first floor of the school building via the playground-side doors. Childcare providers will accompany children in small groups into the building to use the facilities during the event, but please encourage your students to visit restrooms prior to drop-off and/or bring a water bottle.
-Rain location: in the event of inclement weather, childcare will take place in the CANS cafeteria, located on the first floor of the building.
